Source register · Reviewed August 23, 2026

Every published report should lead back to evidence.

This register explains what KordMap consulted, what it used and—just as importantly—what it did not copy.

First-party context

Escape from Tarkov

Product identity and official game context. KordMap is not affiliated with the publisher or developer.

Community reference

KordMap.wiki

Reviewed to understand player-facing location and document-filter terminology. No artwork, screenshots, code or bulk point data was imported.

Community reference

KORD Map MTDV

Reviewed as a second expression of the same search problem. Its interface, assets and location database were not copied.

Editorial report

BLAST — Factory Battle Pass documents

Used as linked evidence for the current Factory area-level preview. KordMap paraphrases the reported areas and keeps the source attached to each report.

License record

Kalle Leskinen / KordMap source license

The reference project is published under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Its code and compiled location collection are not imported into this independently written site.

License record

The Hideout SVG map repository

The repository identifies a CC BY-NC-SA license for its map artwork. KordMap uses original abstract schematics instead of those SVG files.

License record

RE3MR map-use notice

RE3MR asks website and application publishers to contact the creator. No RE3MR map image or derivative is included here.

Publishing threshold

What becomes an area report

A report is publishable only when it identifies a useful search area, matches a document category already associated with that location and carries a public source that readers can inspect. Descriptions are rewritten in KordMap’s own words.

If those conditions are not met, the location stays in research status. An empty board is an honest status, not an invitation to invent markers.

Confidence boundary

What a source cannot prove

A third-party guide can support an area-level lead; it cannot guarantee a spawn in your raid or confirm that a later patch left the location unchanged. KordMap therefore avoids labels such as “official,” “live” or “guaranteed.”

When an exact coordinate cannot be independently supported, the map intentionally points to the broader room, building or zone described by the source.

Corrections

Help improve the record without copying somebody else’s work.

First-hand observations, clearer original descriptions and correction evidence are welcome. Do not submit another site’s map image, screenshot collection, source code or exported marker database. The contribution tool creates a JSON file locally so you can inspect exactly what you prepared.
